In 2006, Calgren Renewable Fuels, LLC contracted with Lurgi, Inc. for a turnkey ethanol plant in Pixley, CA. Lurgi enlisted RCM Thermal Kinetics Engineering, PLLC for the distillation, dehydration, and evaporation (DDE) portion. During construction, Calgren faced challenges and resorted to arbitration, where RCM Thermal Kinetics stood by their DDE design and provided assistance. Calgren’s Pixley plant is highly efficient, thanks to RCM Thermal Kinetics’s energy-efficient design. Benchmarking against other ethanol producers, Calgren’s energy consumption surpasses all.
