Upgrade Assessment
The Upgrade Assessment is performed offsite and utilizes a methodology that rapidly evaluates the scope of the upgrade effort. SQR’s, queries, application engine programs and component interfaces are analyzed to identify where remediation is required and the level of effort to upgrade. Comparisons of modified SQR’s are also performed to determine the extent of the needed remediation.
Upon completion of the Assessment, you have a clear understanding of the upgrade code remediation requirements and the tools and information to develop an accurate upgrade plan.
Upgrade Planning
Upgrade Planning provides a clear understanding of the requirements of your upgrade. Delivered as a separate engagement or integrated into the total upgrade project, we analyze your system, resources and modifications to identify the approach which best meets your objectives while insuring the success of your project.
Upgrade Planning begins with an evaluation of your technical environment to ensure your infrastructure and platform can support the upgrade activities and the new release. Next, we conduct a walk-through of new release features to determine the impact they may have on your business processes. We then review your existing customizations to determine how best to integrate or eliminate them in the new environment. The result is a detailed upgrade approach and plan including resource, time and budget estimates.
